Random Sunday picture taking

Another beautiful Sunday afternoon. Last Sunday of 9:00 church! yeah!! We had an LDS marriage and family specialist come in the last hour of church. One thing she said has really stuck with me: KNEEL DOWN to pray with your spouse every night. It is truly amazing the feeling I get when I kneel side by side with my husband. It humbles us to sit and listen together. I also know that it is hard to hold onto bad feelings after hearing your husband pray for your specific needs. I know these things but still have a hard time getting off my bed at night to do it. WHY!! This is why I am so grateful for Sundays. It helps me recommit to things that I know I should be doing!
I asked Jace what he learned in nursery today. His response was "Don't jump up on the table Jace!!".

Best Buddies

So I love being a mom of two!! This is getting so much fun! Brenna(6 months) is now facinated with Jace(3 tomorrow!) and everything he does. She especially loves when he sings her Rock a Bye and jumps up and down on the couch. Jace loves to climb on her crib and wake her up in the mornings as is now into helping me change her diaper. I have to constantly keep an eye on Jace to make sure he doesn't walk out the door with Brenna in hand but its worth every second. I hope you guys will always be best friends!!

Finally using my mothers day present

After a long day of torential rain showers, the clouds parted(humidity stayed) just in time for our much anticipated date. Chad and I LOVE going to concerts and this one has to be one of my favorites. Although One Republic just opened for John Mayer, the 6 songs they did were AMAZING. John Mayer rocked as well although I was a little peaved at him for just breaking up with Jenifer Aniston.

All day long...jumping from couch to couch, jumping into the pool, jumping on the bed, jumping on Brenna, jumping on the tramp...and he still has more energy than any kid I know.

The oh so amazing Twilight movie is now going to be release NOVEMBER 21 instead of Dec 12th!!!!!!! merry christmas ashley

Obsessions

So I've notice a trend in my life....I'm always obsessing over something. I am trying to diagnose why that is. Lets look back....




It all started wit NKOTB- made up roller skating routines to hang tough, my Ken dolls were replaced by the one and only Jordan, and my binders were covered with stickers.
Next(and probably the Worst) obsession was the one and only Jason Kidd.

I went to a Mavericks game in 8th grade and was hooked. I thought he was the sexiest thing in basketball shorts to ever run up a court. I never missed a game and even video taped the McDonalds commercial he was in one year so I could watch it over and over. The life size poster in my room didnt help either.

Then came Titanic...... 5 times in the theater, crying to My Heart Will go On with the movie quotes added throughout, LEO.

My favorite obsession and the one I guess I'm allowed to have is my hottie hubby Chad Joseph. Ever since I layed eyes on that babe-a-licous missionary back in Texas I was hooked. I keep all his sweet little notes that he has given me over the years. I sometimes will save his phone messages so I can listen to his voice any time of the day. He is the best husband and dad. I seriously know that I lucked out on getting him and am glad to have all eternity to obsess!

So my current obsession is the Twilight saga.....It's bad.

Now I've been introduced into the wonderful world of blogging from my sis in law Tiff. I think this is so much fun..maybe to much fun! Saves me from horrible guilt of sporadic journal writing. Stay tuned for more videos, pictures, and posts that will probably only be interesting to my mom and future great grandkids.

So why all this obsessing? I really have no idea.

There is no one we love more around here than Grandpa Mecham. We are proud to announce that grandpa has lived to see his 100th birthday!!! Sorry gramps...had to round up :) Jace is named after Grandpa Mecham, so he is super special to him. We love you so much!

So I am officially in mourning. 746 pages read and done. The Twilight Saga is now over. I love and hate Stephenie Meyer. Please write more. Now time to obsess over the movie....
