Withing 2 minutes of Jace and Chad entering the shark invested waters of Topsail Beach, a ear piercing scream is heard over the crowd. My poor little Jace got stung all over his legs by a jellyfish but he was a tough boy and was out swimming in no time. Chad was stung a few times on his arm and cried like a baby.

Let me first state this: I love actions hero movies, I have seen Batman the Beginning a million times, Christian Bale is hot, Heath is an amazing actor.

With that being said, I am dedicating a post to why you shouldn't go out and see the

"record breaking" new batman movie.

I walked out of that theatre completely shocked. Chad as well. We were kind of speechless. Can anyone watch TV or enjoy a decent movie anymore????? This movie finally pushed me over the edge. I can't believe how bad things are getting with shows like Swingtown, Dirty Sexy Money, The Real World etc

I feel so blessed to have the church in my life and to have the opportunity to feel the spirit on a daily basis as I read the scriptures, sing church songs with my kids, have family home evening. That also gives me the opportunity to contrast having the light of the spirit and NOT having the spirit. Lets just say that this was the darkest movie I had ever seen(Chad and I don't watch R rated movies- I can only imagine that there are so much worse).

It is so scary to think that millions of people were so entertained by what was shown in that movie. I completely believe that Satan's greatest tool is desensitizing us to things not of the spirit.

There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon Alma 5:39 that states "For I say unto you that whatsoever is good cometh from God, and whatsoever is evil cometh from the devil". I'm writing this because I know things are only going to get worse. I hope that my children, family, future great great grandchildren reading this will continue to fight Satan and his cunning deceptions. If you don't feel the spirit, then you shouldn't be there.

Brenna got her first tooth, Jace and I watched the new Twilight scene on the Penelope DVD a million times, my sister in law is in town, So You think you can Dance is on tonight and Chad is away at scout camp. So far so good this week!

Stadium of Fire

We decided the best way to celebrate the 4th would be at the good ol Stadium of Fire!! The shriek of teenage girls could be heard across the valley. Hannah Montana would be headlining the show. NO WAY. It was actually a pretty great show. Thanks mom!

A break from the humidity

It has been about a year and a half since we've made a family trip to Utah. I forgot how much I love it up there! Beautiful mountains, Chad's family, cool nights, Cafe Rio...love it. Jace and Brenna were spoiled by their grandma Sandi and Aunt Britt and Blair. We walked out of two movies, held the puppies, ate Poppa Murpheys, went to a parade, rocked on to Miley, shopped at the outlets, golfed every stinkin day(that was one person in particular), caught up with old friends, looked for dead bodies in Provo Lake, BBQed at Clint's house, and averaged about 3 hours of sleep every night. Unfortunately, every single member of the family caught the 24 hour flu bug while we were there. It was fun to see who would be throwing up all night next. I still have NOT gotten it yet! haha!!
