Williamsburg VA trip

We got Jace excused from school for a week for a very "educational" vacation.  Jace and I got to spend some quality time reading about George Washington and the making of this great nation.  We are lucky to live a few hours away from these historic sites.  Grandpa Steve-o, Grandma Lisa, and Aunt Shanny came up with us.
Every day we walked the trails by our hotel.  Jace followed his Poppa everywhere.  Jace's favorite thing he did on the trip was hands down "going to watch John Carter with poppa and going to Taco Bell and maybe winning a free Ipad".
Daddy daughter dance at Captain Jorges seafood buffett.  We might have eaten here twice in 5 days...
Chad came up for a few days just to golf.  My dad tells this story the best...but on one hole, Jace actually out-drove Chad.  He will never live that one down.

Pool time at the hotel.  Natasha's first swim ever!  She loved it ;) and looked hot in her polkadots.
Jamestown- 1st English settlement  All I could think about what how I could have NEVER survived back then.  Never ever never ever.

I spy one hot soldier
Governor's mansion at historic Williamsburg.  Whole town restored to what it looked like in the 1700's.  This seems so young compared to what we will see in France this summer. Really beautiful set up though right by the campus of William and Mary.
The town is filled with actors who were in full costume.   My dad- "Get me outta here!"
I need me one of these

Playing on the beaches of Yorktown--where the British finally surrendered to the American/french forces under George Washington.  So cool to imagine this cove filled with the ships.  Highlight of the trip.
Berkley Plantation on the James river.   SOOO beautiful.  Where the 1st official Thanksgiving took place.
Last day of the trip ended with grandma and grandpa being here for Brenna's bday!  She felt so special.  Thanks for the fun memories!

Brett's November Wedding

My one and only brother-- MARRIED.  Yes I realize this happened 3 months ago but I just got these awesome pictures back.  Brett married the beautiful and talented Brittany after a few years of dating. She was worth the wait!  Its so exciting to get a new "sister" in the family.  They are back living in Dallas as Brett is finishing dental school.  Brittany works as a nurse at the Childrens Hospital--basically an all-star couple.  Couldn't be happier for them!
The lovely couple
Beautiful cold day- Draper Temple- married for eternity!!
I was worried I'd be turned in for child abuse because I took off Natasha's blanket for the pics.  Hello!  I'd didn't spend that much on matching dresses to just cover it up!

Btw not super thrilled about all these pics right after I had a baby.  Takes me a good 6-12 months to get back to normal again.  Hoping Diana's wedding pics in May will be a little easier on the eyes.
Loved the lighting of these pictures!  They had the most beautiful reception at a cool farmhouse in Lindon.  Brittany's family did an amazing job- very shabby chic meets super romantic setting.
 Poppa and his favorite granddaughter!
Jace- 6 years old--with all of his teeth!
 Brenna- 3.5 years old
The girls
My handsome boy-- don't Chad and Jace look like twins???  ...that was a joke
I love this picture!  Lisa and Steve looking as young as ever
My favorite picture of the night.  Poor Natasha is looking like "what did I get myself into!!"
Congrats Brett and Brittany!!
