RSVP

I just had to share this because it has made me really happy these past few months. RSVP!!
R-read and study the scriptures daily
S-smile! Be postive and serve those around you
V-be virtuous in all things--what you wear, watch, read, say and how you act
P-pray-be more thankful, develope a strong real relationship with Heavenly Father
I came up with this idea for our young women at church. Simple things that we've been commanded to do but can be so hard to remember. We paired up the girls into buddies-big sis/lil sis to help remind each other to RSVP on a daily basis. Being accountable to someone else has made a huge difference. and wow, really doing these things daily... I cant go a day now without the peace I feel from reading and praying and even smiling! Sending a quick RSVP! text to my buddy reminds me to take a step back and do the things that are really important. I know that my father in heaven has given us these commandments because he loves us and wants us back with him for eternity. Every time I read and pray, I feel loved and I feel happy and I am a better wife and mother. Simple as that.

Brenna cheerfully hands me a blue marker "Here Mom! ;)"
Jace: "Brenna did it mom, I tried to take the marker"

5 min later...Brenna sitting in time out scribbling on the wall with a pen "Look mom, butterflies!"
I feel so loved ;)
Jace: "Mom, when is it Brother's Day?"

How did the easter bunny know?? Jace has wanted a spiderman swimsuit forever. He even grabbed it at Marshals last week and ran right up to a worker and said "I really need to know how much this is please!"

So happy to share my favorite holiday with my family. Had an amazing experience to listen to conference this weekend all on the Savior. I learned so much and gained an even greater appreciation of what he did for me. I feel so lucky to know him and have this perfect example for my kids.

Another movie, another party!

Our theme was Ice Vs Fire (Team Edward/Team Jacob). We had a designated Team Edward table with "cold" shrimp coctail, deviled eggs, cheescake, tomato/mozerrella. The decorations were a bit more refined and classy like Edward sigh.

Then our Jacob's table: pigs in a blanket, muddy buddies aka doggy treats, pizza, cheese/avacodo dip. We used rustic bowls and warm colors.

Everyone had to wear name tags that designated whose side they were on...including our unborn children ;)

We decided to do a Twilight themed white elephant gift exchange. So fun!! Everyone gave the most creative gifts. This is the one I whipped up a Team Edward fan.
