 It was a perfect Christmas!

Christmas Eve

After 9 years of marriage, this was our FIRST christmas at home with our own little family.  We typically zoom off to Texas or Utah to be with family but since we saw everyone at Thanksgiving, we decided to stay home(oh yeah and my fam went to Hawaii on Christmas-thanks!!).  It was actually wonderful and relaxing.  We started a few new tradition such as Mart our elf on the shelf, elves leaving treats in the kids shoes if they were good, caroling to neighbors and friends and passing out Texas Trash, playing at the nursing home, celebrating Joseph Smith bday, watching the Nativity Story on Christmas eve and of course acting out the nativity!
This is the picture Jace sent everyone bright and early Christmas eve.  "Wake up everyone!  Santa is coming tonight!"
Wow do I really have enough kids to make my own nativity??  I have such fond memories doing that with my siblings and cousins growing up.  It was a bit cray and noisy but the spirit was really strong.

Notice all the "sheep"?  Thank you Brenna.  and Biscuit sat there like she was the star of this whole thing.
and there is our baby Jesus!

classic.
Ready for Santa!
The kids super tasty creations for Santa and Mart our elf
One of our traditions is to let the kids sleep together Christmas Eve.  Mart even hung up some Christmas lights!  We read the Night before Christmas before going to sleep.

My girls :)

December events

Busy month!!  and our first time EVER that we havent left on the 15th to Texas or Utah. It was fun to actually take some time and decorate our house.

We had out annual Zerorez dinner at Kanki this year.  It was really humbling to think we only started with 2 employees 6 years ago.  We have a great family of dedicated employees now.  It is neat to see how much they love and respect Chad.

 Visits with Santa!
Jace's list:  dip in dots maker, spiderman web shooter, hot wheels, DS
Brenna's list:  unicorns, ponies, barbies, and unicorns

Family fun time at Pullen park
Introducing Mart- our elf on the shelf.  Jace took this picture because he thought it was SO funny.  I heard him laughing out loud from upstairs.  Mart also left little treats in the kids shoes if they were good.
I decided to hold our winter recital at nursing home this year.  Nothing like beautiful violin music to bring in the holiday spirit to those who are suffering!  It was a great experience and I think it'll become a tradition.  I personally LOVE playing with Jace now.  He is my little duet buddy ;)

Joy school with Tyler and Carolina(missing Corbin and Ethan).  They made Christmas bags and exchanged gifts.
And my sweet little Tasha girl- 3 months!!
